READY PLAYER ONE REVIEW

Since I saw the first teaser of the sdcc I already knew that this movie was going to be something totally epic but now that I saw the movie I realized that it is the second best fucking movie I've ever seen, not only for the references that it has but for its history and the message that it intends to give us.
It all starts with the story of wade watts: a player of the year 2045 who, like most humans, prefers to live in the oasis: a virtual world where everyone can do practically anything. Already in the first five minutes of the film I begin to notice the excellence of this one because the same protagonist tells us the story of how life is in this world and also show us its origins but beyond being a great movie it contains a very nice that personally came to my heart because I've also dreamed of creating a world completely crazy and out of reality, it's as if I saw a new Steve Jobs or Walt Disney.
The characters are completely unique and endearing like Tye Sheridan as Wade Owen Watts, Olivia Cooke as Samantha Evelyn Cook, Lena Waithe as Hache, Win Morisaki as Toshiro Yoshiaki / Daito, TJ Miller as i-R0k and Ben Mendelsohn as Nolan Sorrento (yes, the same that appeared in star wars I prayed one as kreenic, they are characters that play an important role in the film and they are not one-dimensional which makes you connect with them in some way, I think my favorite character was Art3mis, this character breaks with two cine cliches stereotypes that are the fill woman who are only waiting to be saved and that of the unique and different feminist girl with blue hair.It is a new and interesting character that makes the plot more fluid.
 The visual effects are very well achieved and you really feel that you are in that crazy head world. Throughout the film we see references to pop culture everywhere like minecraft, helloy kitty, batman, beetlejuice, Michael Jackson, gremlins, flash, King Kong, jurassic park, back to the future, freddy krueger, superman, alien, thundercats, the shining star wars , Street fighter, speed racer, deathstroke, the joker and harley quinn, catwoman, a ha, the iron giant, gundam, chucky, spawn teenage mutant ninja turtles, halo, teen titans, mechagodzilla among others and I must say that the truth when I saw the scene of the final literal battle, I almost cried, was incredibly beautiful to see all the characters of different media fight together in one place. When I saw that first I had an orgasm, then a heart attack, then I died and relived to continue seeing the epic of this film. I swear I almost cried with this movie.
But that's not important; in this film we see how the protagonist of the story tries to find three keys to the contest that the creator of the oasis left as the last legacy and who manages to find the Easter egg will be the leader of the oasis but the villain tries to prevent it. Here I realized that the character of James Halliday is a clear reference to Woody Allen "I created OASIS because I never felt comfortable in the real world. It did not connect well with people, "Halliday tells Wade. "I was afraid throughout my life. Until the moment I knew it was coming to an end. It was then that I realized that, however terrifying and painful it may be, it is also the only place where you can get a decent meal. Because reality is real. Do you understand? "That is, what Halliday had understood too late is that we must not forget to live in the reality we know, seeking personal development and improvement of it, and not only worry about the enjoyment of imaginary worlds, and much less have your head in your fantasies permanently. this last thing made me reflect deeply on the ideas that the film manages, I felt very inspired to continue working to fulfill my dream and now that I have seen ready player one I realized that I can achieve it whenever I propose it.
Another thing I want to tell you about this movie is that in 2014 I had a very similar vision: imagine a single movie where all the characters from movies, comics, videogames, anime, books and others come together in a gigantic super-city and the The world's destiny depended on a very basic character but one that made a difference. Ready player one is the closest thing to my dream but it is still far from the vision I had. I hope that it is possible someday and if so, it would be the best movie in history.
